Absolutely perfect location quite close to station. Not far from the historic Quayside shops, Exeter main shopping area and shops over the river exe.
Miserable staff!

Friendly people working here, little place. Unbeatable location, historic area, close enough to the river and all the points of interest, city centre, and St Thomas and St David's railway stations.

The food was fine and there were a lot of dishes in the menu. Handy and unbeatable location outside in the neighborhood made it easy to get to key attractions.

The hotel was immaculately clean with excellent breakfast selections. Efficient, pretty friendly people working here.

Overall clean, low budget hotel with exceptionally nice and amicable staff. Particularly good location relatively near Exeter Guildhall. 10 min walk from the bus stop.

Shabby, scruffy and down-at-heel. Cramped and poorly laid out. Parking arrangements were tricky. There was a hole in the bedsheet; we had to be careful when closing the bathroom door otherwise the positioning of the handle meant we caught our fingers in the door; and there is no excuse for not having enough toilet paper.

It was clean, service was pleasant, breakfast was good, car parking was provided and it was quiet at night.
It's a little too far from the city centre to comfortably walk, parking might be a problem at busier times.

Very nice obliging staff and the location. Excellent breakfast and a clean comfortable room.
A bit shabby and for the money it is over-priced I would say by at least £10 per night.

Hotel chosen for price and proximity to the cathedral. The beds were comfortable.
The hotel disappointed on several levels. We were slightly misled as to the proximity to the cathedral as we were told it was an easy 15min walk. It took a good 25mins uphill! The hotel was dated and quite scruffy. It really needs a good overhaul. The room itself seemed clean but the carpets looked quite grubby throughout the hotel. The curtains in the bedroom were torn, sash window had to be propped open, the bathroom was basic to say the least with dreadful tiles on the wall. We could not get hot water except from the electric shower but not from the tap.
